Then and Now..

 Aaah ah,geçen cuma günü başıma gelebilecek en kötü şeylerden biri geldi.Çok sevgili, biricik iphone'um çalındı! Ve yenisini alana kadar bulabildiğim tek telefon Nokia 8310 oldu. Şimdi hor gördüğüm bu telefon ilk çıktığında ailelerimizin bunu alması için kendimizi yerden yere atardık. Nitekim bana alınmadıydı. Öncelikle şunu söylemeliyim ki Sosyal medya bağmlısı olmuş olabilirim ama iphone'um gitti gideli başım acaip dinlendi. Whats App, Facebook ve Twitter'dan hiç durmadan gelen mesaj ve uyarılar olmayınca gerçekten dinlendim ama bu iphone'umu özlemediğim anlamına gelmez! Sabah uyanınca hava durumuna bakıp ona göre giyinmek istiyorum, serviste gazete okuyamıyorum, biri bişey sordugunda ''Aaaa bak işte resmi'' diye gösteremiyorum, kahvaltıda Twitter'ı gezmek yerine boş boş duvarlara bakıyorum falan filan yani. Alcam alcam yenisini :) Sizin ayrilamadiginiz bir telefonunuz var miydi ? Veya su anda benim gibi sosyal medya ve iphone aplikasyonlari bagimlisi misiniz ?
Neyse ki bu telefonlardan birini kullanmiyorum :)


My oh my, last friday one of the worst thing ever happened and my deary iphone is stolen! The only phone that i could find as an alternative(!) was Nokia 8310. I may despising that phone now ,but i remember we were begging our families to get this phone when it came out. ( My fam didn't bought me one ,i was using Nokia 3310 )If i want to see the glass as half full i can say without the notifications that were interrupting me every minute, i had peace of mind,but it doesn't mean that i didn't miss my iphone!  I used to check the weather from my iphone when i wake up, i can't read online newspaper while i am going to work, i can't check Twitter updates while eating breakfast bla bla...I have to buy one soon! Did you have a phone which you wouldn't give up ? Or are you addicted to social media and iphone applications like me? 
Also you can check,gladly i am not using one of those huh?

Uzuun bir aradan sonra merhaba! Bana ne oldu bilmiyorum ama sanırım bayağı karlı,yağmurlu çamurlu geçen kış beni yazmaya isteksiz bir insan yaptı. Şimdi baharın gelmesi ve doğanın uyanışı ile ben de uyandım!
Dün evde bir nevi bahar temizliği yaparken küçüklüğüme ait bulduğum bir sürü şey beni geçmişe götürdü. Doğumumdan sonra hastaneden çıkarken yazılmış Baby Kutay(ismimin ne olacağına çok uzun süre karar veremedikleri için hastaneden çıktığımda ismim hala Baby'miş.) isimli doğum kartımdan, annemin ingilizce çalıştığı deftere kadar...
Bulduğuma en sevindiğim şey ise yukarıdaki resimdeki video kasetler oldu. Kim bilir eski videomuzda bu çizgi filmleri kaç kere izledim! Alice Harikalar Diyarında'nın yaklaşık her sahnesini hala hatırlamam normal mi? :)

Hello! I am back from a mini(!) time off.Winter was very boring,snowy and dreary where i live, so i was very reluctant to do things. Now i am waking up as the earth does;) Yesterday i was doing spring cleaning and i found many things belongs to my childhood.I found my birth card prints my name as Baby Kutay(becouse my parents couldn't decide what would be my name for a long time) and i also found my mom's english study notebook...
From the things i found,these cartoon video casettes below made me happy the most. I can't count how many times i've watched those videos! I can still remember Alice in Wonderland's nearly every scene,is it normal? ;)

These Shoes are Talkin'

Ablam eğlence için hayali evlilik ayakkabısını ararken bana Sanemiko Shop'un blogunu gösterdiğinde ayakkabıların değişik tasarımları karşısında şaşkınlığımı gizleyememiştim. Sanırım bu site en ilham verici değişik özel günler için hazırlanmış ayakkabıların olduğu site olabilir.Düğün,hamile,yılbaşı gibi partiler koleksiyonları mevcut.Evlenmeyecek veya çocuk dogurmayacak kişiler için partiye giderken giyilecek ayakkabı seçenekleri olmasıyla birlikte bence mezuniyeti olanlar için de uygun ayakkabılar var.Öyle ki üzerine hangi sıradan elbiseyi giyersen git özelsin. En begendiklerimi burada sizinle paylaştım. Hiç bir zaman inanılmaz süslü bir imajım olmasa da kendim için en uygun olarak yukarıdaki siyah ayakkabıyı beğendim.
When my sister showed me Sanemiko Shop's blog to pick our imaginary future wedding shoes for fun i could barely contain my amazement.This girl puts forth the most inspirational pair of shoes for special occasions like weddings, New Year's,pregnant shoes,party,and maybe for graduation ceremony shoes :) Even you wear very ordinary dress ,you will look different and stunning with these shoes! Here is a roundup of some of my favourites. I think the most appropriate and useful one (for me ) is the black one that i put above.Though i never embrace florid or super fancy style i liked these shoe's unique style.

Yakında evlenecek filan olmasam da yukardaki ayakkabıyı üzerinde ismim yazılı bir şekilde istiyorum! Giyip gece kuluplerine gideceğim:)
Even i don't think to merry soon , i want these shoes with my name on it ! And i will go to night clubs with that :)

Suitcase issue

İtiraf edin,siz de eski yorganlarınızı bilmemnelerinizi dolapların tepesinde eski bavullarda saklıyorsunuz :) Şu anda sadece bir tanesi dışında evdeki bütün eski bavulları attığım için çok pişmanım.Bendeki bu sadeleşme ve atma merakı nolcak bilmiyorum ama çok nostaljik olduğu için bavullardan bir tanesini sakladım neyse ki. Bavullardan hiç masa yapabilcegnizi düşünmüş müydünüz bilmiyorum ama bence inanılmaz güzel,değişik ,havalı , nostaljik duruyor:) Ayrıca benim gibi eski bavullarını atanlar için üzülmeyin eski eşyalar satan pazarlarda çok ucuza bulunabiliyormuş.Ayrıca gittigidiyor.com'da 'nostaljik bavul' diye arattığınızda ''Gurbetçi teyzeden satın alınmıştır.'' gibi ibarelerle eski bavullar bulmanız olası :))

Lets recognize ,you're stashing your blankets, clothes that you don't use in the back of your closet in the old suitcases. I am soo regretful now,becouse since we did some serious downsizing,i threw away all our old suitcases that i don't use. I am gladly kept just one old suitcase. Have you ever thought you could create a table by stacking couple of suitcases on top of eachother.I think it adds very tasteful, nostalgic, cool and differet touch to a room. I believe that you can find very cheap old suitcases from thrift stores to make it.

Firenze Firenze

Roma tatilimde arada 2 gece trenle Floransa'ya gittiğimizi söylemiştim. Trenle bu kadar çabuk ve kolay şehirler arası geçiş yapıldığını bilmiyordum.Floransa şehri sevimliliği, sanatsallığı ve gençler açısından çok dinamik olmasıyla beni büyüledi.
I've already mentioned that we spent 2 nights in Florence in the middle of our trip to Rome. I would never think that the train goes that fast between this 2 city. Florence was amazed me by its cozy ,artistic and dynamic atmosphere.



Ponte Vecchio



Sokakların her biri tablo gibiydi ve sanat fışkırıyordu.Kendim tuvale veya kağıda bile resim yapamayan biri olarak sokakta yere resim yapan sanatçılara sonsuz saygılarımı sunuyorum. Yaptıkları resmin bir gün öncesi ve sonrasını çektim.

Streets were like a painting and full of art.
Even I never can paint on a canvas or a paper ,i was very respected when i saw these artists were painting on the ground. I picturized their masterpiece when they started and when they finished.

 Le Parigine'de yediğimiz dondurma inanılmazdı .En son kaşıklayarak yiyordum:) Resmen arka taraftan yapılıp taze getirilişini izledik.
The ice cream that we ate at Le Parigine was amazing. I still manage to shovel spoonfulls into my mouth.We saw how they served fresh ice cream from the cuisine.And there was a variety of different flavoured ice cream.

Piazza della Repubblica

Floransa'da Piazza della Repubblica'nın ortasında  Residence La Repubblica'da kaldık . Odadaki büyük pencerelerden aşagı baktıgında meydandaki harekete dahil olabiliyorduk:) Odanın tavanlarının yüksek ve boyalı olması da başka bir ayrıcalıktı.Meydanın resme göre sağ tarafında kalan Paskyowski Restaurant'da piyano ve canlı müzik eşliğinde çok eğlenceli vakitler geçirdik. Gençlik de genelde bu meydanda toplanıp ya gece kuluplerine gidiyordu ya da bu restoranlarda yemek yiyip, gece kulube dönüşmesini bekliyorlardı. Floransa'da olmamıza ragmen  Hard Rock Cafe'ye gitmeyi de ihmal etmedik. Burada yemek yemek yerine çeşitli kokteyller denemeyi tercih ettim:)

We stayed at Residence La Repubblica that was placed right into the Piazza della Repubblica.We were very lucky that we could join to the energetic atmospehere in the center right from our room by openning our big windows.I had such fun at the Paskyowski Restaurant (it is at the right side of the center according to this picture).There was live music in company with piano, and it was good. This center was also a meeting place for young people to eat before they go to the club. We tried Hard Rock Cafe's bar too and it was very good as usual with its coctails.

Her zaman Roma'ya gitmek istemiştim ve geçen sonbaharda burayı ziyaret etme şansım oldu.Hava tabi ki birkaç gün için yagmurluydu ve bir tam günümüzü tamamen işe yaramaz hale getirdi ama yine de çok güzeldi. Yagmurlu günde de pizza yiyip , şarap içip benim pembe şemsiyemin altında yürüyerek günü değerlendirdik:)

Uçak Roma havaalanına indiğinde heyecandan uçucaktım .Yol boyunca etrafımı izleyerek otele vardık.Concordia Hotel İspanyol Merdivenleri ile Aşk Çeşmesinin arasında bir konumdaydı ve odadaki kocaman pencereleri, küçük balkonu ,fazla geniş banyosu ,temizliği ve kahvaltısıyla gercekten çok güzeldi.İlk gün öğlen yemeğimizi Life Restaurant'ta yedik ,dışarda oturduk ve çok güzeldi.

Tabi ki çogunlukla her günümüzü Pizza,makarna,capresse salad yiyerek, şişelerce şarap içerek ve benim pembe şemsiyemin altında yürüyerek geçirdik.Benle mozerella peynirine dönüşceksin diye dalga geçtiler :)

I've always wanted to go Rome without any hesitation and this year i found time and chance to visit there. It was in November and the weather is rainy for a few days , unfortunately one rainy day made our 24 hours useless but we've found a way to have fun in the rain by eating pizza,drinking wine and walking under my pink umbrella:) 

I was very excited when my plane landed on the Rome airport.I was amazed by the buildings that i saw while going on my way to the Hotel Concordia. This hotel was just between the Spanish Stairs and Fontain Trevi.It was lovely with its big windows,little balcony, large bathroom,clean bed,and breakfast.Fist day we ate lunch at Life Restaurant, We sat outside and it was good.

I can honestly say that eating and drinking was encapsulating my days in Rome. We mostly enjoyed by eating pizza,pasta,capresse salad,ham and melon,and of course bottle of wine like everynight.I was about to turn into a mozerella cheese :)

Ristorante Trinite De' Monti

İspanyol merdivenlernini tepesindeki Ristorante Trinite De' Monti Roma'da hatırladığım en güzel hatıralara ev sahipliği yaptı.Akşam yemeği için güzel bir restoran ararken bu restoranın muhteşem işletmecisi bizi misafirperverliği ve güleryüzü ile kandırdı:) Hayatımda içtiğim en güzel Toskanadan gelmiş bir şarap ikram etti, Feta peynirli makarna yedik , yemegin sonunda tiramisu ve limoncello ikram edildi.

At the top of the Spanish Stairs , Ristorante Trinite De' Monti was hosted one of my best memories in Rome.We were looking for a good restaurant to eat and it's manager attracted us with his hospitable,kind and sincere attitude.He served us a really really beautiful Tuscany wine that we wanted to drown into the bottle,We ate fetta cheese pasta that was delicious and we had a great time by his concern. He didn't forget to serve Limoncello and tiramisu at the end of the dinner :)

4gün Roma'dan sonra trenle Floransa'ya geçtik. Son gün de Roma'ya geri dönüp Matisse Bed&Breakfast da kaldık. Burası diger tarafa göre vasattı ama rahat bir yerdi.

After 4 days in Rome we went to Florence by train and we came back to Rome our last day.We stayed at Matisse Bed&Breakfast . It was a good place to stay too but not as Concordia Hotel.


Sonuç olarak çok garip ama hayatım boyunca Londra'yı hiç görmek istemedim , ama Roma için ölüyodum , sanırım Londra'yı Roma'dan daha çok sevdim.Ama ne kadar iyi vakit geçirdiğimi inkar edemem.Unutulmaz anılarla geri döndüm.
As a coclusion  i  think i liked London more that Rome unexpectedly couse i've never wanted to go London , but i was dying to go Rome. Anyways i can't deny how much good time i had there.I left the city with unforgetable memories.

Handmade Treasure Book

Biz kızlar sevgililerimize el yapımı hediyeler vermeyi severiz(onların ne kadar sevdiği şüpheli :)).Her ne kadar şu anda erkek arkadaşım olmasa da (!) o günleri hatırlıyorum , resimlerimizden oluşan albümler ,mektuplar , anlamlı yazılar hatta sinema biletleri vermişliğim olmuştu . Bulduğum bu el yapımı kitap ,içinde cepleri olması itibariyle çok sevimli bir hediye olabilir :)
As being a girl i like to give handmade gifts to my boyfriends ( I am not sure they like it.lol.).Even if i don't have a boyfriend , i remember these days , i gave album includes our pictures, letters, notes , our cinema tickets etc.. I've found this lovely handmade book with  places for keepskes. It could be a meaningful gift .
